About Addie Johnson, LPC
Licensed Counselor in the Greater Philadelphia Area
I love being a counselor because it provides me the opportunity to help others realize their underlying potential.
I was drawn to the Human Services field during my undergraduate studies and I have been working to support others from that point forward. I take pride in establishing a therapeutic relationship with clients as I believe this rapport provides the means for change to begin.
I have always said that I know when you have “turned the corner” in the therapeutic process when you no longer worry about “what if,” but instead believe “I will figure it out if/when I get there.”
It is moments like these, along with giving people the space and freedom to be heard and validated, that I find meaningful.
I try to practice what I preach. When not providing therapy, I focus on my own self care through watching tv, sports, and video games with my husband and son. My weekends are typically spent on the soccer field, cheering on my son.
